what we believe

*At ETM we believe the Holy Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God. Supreme, infallible, inerrant rule in doctrine and godliness. We believe it is the complete revelation of God's will for; the salvation of mankind, the maturity of His followers, and the believer's responsibilities in preparing for His Return. It is truth. The guideline and Christian standard for morality, relationships, worship, conduct, and behavior.

*We believe the Bible consists of the Canonical collection of 66 books from Genesis to Revelations.

*We believe it was penned by men who were divinely/supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit of God to do so (cf. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

*We believe in Creation. God created mankind and every living being as described in the Holy Bible (Genesis 1:1).

*We believe marriage was designed by God to be between one man and one woman for as long as they live (Genesis 2:18-25; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:18-32).

*We believe in male leadership within the church (i.e. pastors, preachers) as outlined in Scriptures (see I Corinthians 11:1-12; 14:34, 35; I Timothy 2:11-15; 3:1-13) and support the role/ title of deaconess and missionaries for women (see Rom.16:1- servant = diakonis).

*We believe Judaism is a foundational and important component of early Christianity (John 1:17; 5:46; Romans 8:3-4).

*We believe the Bible teaches a distinct difference between the Church and the nation Israel, however, both will benefit from certain covenantal blessing not assigned exclusively to Israel (cf. Romans 11).

*We believe the Church began at Pentecost (Acts 2).

*We believe in divine healing, however, we are cautious of those in the "faith-healing" industry who profit off of the innocent with promises God did not speak.

*We believe every saint has been given at least one gift by the Holy Spirit for the building of His kingdom and the edification of the saints (Romans 12:3-8; I Corinthinas 12:12-31).

*We believe in a pre-tribulational Rapture of the church (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

*We believe in both a literal Heaven and Hell.

*We believe in angels, heavenly hosts, the devil (Satan), and demons (fallen angels).

*We also believe...

*The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. One, yet equally distinct in function and purpose.

*In Dispensational Theology.

*In the doctrine of the hypo-static union which teaches that Jesus Christ was fully God while simultaneously being fully man. He is true God, was true man and the divine revelation of God to man. He was manifested in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

*All men are born sinners and stand in need of God's plan of salvation offered "only" through His Son, Jesus Christ.

*We believe in "compatibilism" which teaches a unique blend of both "free-will" and "predestination" as the means by which man receives regeneration. This view opposes the doctrines of "Reprobation' and "Hyper-Calvinism" which teach a fatalistic view of election and salvation.

*We believe Jesus Christ bore our sins in His own body on the "tree", making provisions for all men to receive the forgiveness of sins through His one time, satisfactory sacrifice and atonement.

*We believe in the bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, His ascension into heaven, His present ministry of intercession for believers; His personal, visible, promised, and imminent Return; His glorious millennial reign and the ushering in of a new heaven and earth.

*We believe all saints will reign with Christ during His Millennial reign following the Great Tribulation.

*We believe Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and is on His way back!
